500th Camp-Inn Built

I think these are pictures of the new 565 line that is just about to be announced.

Nice thought, but no new line...hard enough keeping up with the ones we already have! :D

if those are leather cushions, where are the dogs going to sleep?

Depends on where you tell them to sleep! :D

Can't wait to see all these parts put together. The craftsmanship is amazing.... thought it couldn't get any better ... but it can!

Thank you! :)

Please, have some self-control! No drool catchers have been incorporated into the design! ;)

Oh man, you put a mural on it!?!!

Kind of...

Can't wait to see what you did to the galley.

You've already had a peek at that! :)

hmmm...does the last picture represent the theme and/or destination?

No and maybe...

I'm liking what I see so far.

Me too! :)

Might have to take a trip up to the shop just to see it.

We can do lunch! :)

Good thing this is not a pay for peek set up (and you can draw your own conclusions from that crack). I'd go broke trying to see the whole thing.

Tease, tease, tease.

We were privileged to receive a sneak preview from Cary of #500 when we picked up our rental 550 on Friday! Our lips are sealed.....and we can't stop smiling!!

Some friends of ours passed you on I-90 today, headed towards MN. He used to work at the factory, so they always get excited when they see a Camp-Inn on the road. As they travel between Tomah & Madison frequently, they have had several opportunities to see new owners on the road.

Here are a few more......

Since #500 is a unique camper, we had to make a unique badge for it.

What a wonderful and worthwhile experience it was to rent the 550! We just got back home after returning it to Necedah this morning and I feel a bit sad, as I think I started to form a bond with it :/ . We found it to be very valuable to tour the factory and meet and talk with Cary, Craig and Marty. After this weekend we found that the teardrop camping experience fits perfectly with the way that we enjoy camping. Also it passed the big test of towability -it is a dream to tow with our Jeep Wrangler, which really impressed my husband. So now the question is - 550 or 560? We really liked the 550, but made the mistake in sitting on the couch of the 560, which is oh so sweet! Wondering if the 560 would tow as nicely as the 550 though. Anyway, we'll have to start to compile our list of needs and wants in whatever model we decide upon. I know I'll be doing more research on this forum to help with some of our decisions. We'd like a camper by next camping season and realize that the build schedule wait is about 6 months. Also, we'll have to start thinking about selling our Scamp trailer after this summer's camping season. We had fun experiencing what I'm sure you already are well aware of - that the Camp-Inn is quite a head turner both at the campground and on the road! :) Julie

Biggie,

Buy number 500. You want it, just like all of us. It's only money, don't you have check blanks, that means you have money!

Thanks for posting more pics Betsey!

I haven't towed a 550, but just spent 2 weeks towing our 560 with my 325xi Sportwagon (BMW). We have no problem at all, and we went 1800 miles. I think your Jeep would do great with it. My car did brake down, but that is because it has been a lemon since day 1, not because the trailer had anything to do with it (we are starting to consider some new options). That was around mile 238. Once we fixed the issue, the rest of the trip was easy-breezy!

Just food for thought!

Biggie,
We have a 560 and believe me - it tows fantastic! We never even know it's there! We have a mini van with stow away seats and it tows it just fine. Personally, I don't understand why anyone would want anything but the 560. Why lay on your back to read a newspaper or book or stuff pillows behind your back? The 560 is so light my hubby pushes it in and out of the garage by hand by himself and he's 5'2"!

Julie,

You are still more than welcome to come visit us at Whitewater June 29- July 1!

Also, there is a group of 9 teardrops (mostly Camp-Inn's) camping this weekend at White Mound County Campground in Hillpoint, WI. A bit of a drive for you but there is still room...tents are welcome!

The same reason some people prefer other types of camping options - whether it is a tent, camper, trailer, or motor home...different needs, wants & likes.

It's what keeps things interesting! :)

Betsey,

The custom upgrades to #500 look fantastic… kudos to Camp Inn! Your crew are remarkable craftsmen. As much as we'll all be envious of the new owner of #500, we're just as proud to be owners of what we tow.

Is that a power antenna?

Jim wants to know if any of #500 special options are going to be available as after market upgrades? I like the galley door compass.

And I agree with Betsey: George, you should buy the #500. Jim says it's only money. Enjoy yours before the next stock market crash! Why let some big, overpaid, bazillionaire corporate CEO have it all?

He's such a cheerful soul.....not bitter at all.

Camp On,

Sue and Jim (says)

Some will & some are a one time shot. At this moment in time, we can't tell you specifically all options that will become available.

Sue,
Since I can't get anyone to bite on my TT, maybe I would have better luck selling my house. I would have a bigger down payment if I did it that way LOL
