Morning Cup Of Coffee And Weather

Mine was a macula-off detachment, the worst one to have. I’m to the point that I’m no more likely to have another than anyone at their point. Just go in once a year now to get it checked. That eye sees things like you look in a fun house mirror.

Mine is the most common --- and it is bad enough. I'm more or less adapted to it -- but it SUCKS having to use a phone to take pictures of things I need to see then zoomin in and around. It makes being an RV technician a little harder. :(

I have depth perception problems because of it. My school has covered walkways to get from building to building. I run to the posts on my right side sometimes. When I coaching I video the jumpers and throwers in slow motion to be able to look what they are doing/wrong. Pretty sure I couldn’t drive if they were both this way.

I'm sorry you have to carry this burden. Though my Dad was blind in one eye, he did adapt to being monocular. Once he cross the octigenarian mark his driving was really bad, but he was hiding bigger problems and I think that cognition was the issue more than ability to see....but its so hard to tell But when he was 10-20 years younger you would have had to nail his feet to the floor to keep him hom.

This is my biggest fear - if I lost my ability to drive it would be an unhappy day to be sure. The worst part is, I'd probably have to move into a city area which would make it worse. I'm not now who 'stays home' often --- I get wonderin' toes and just have to get out. Sometimes just to a hardware store to wander the aisles...

I lost my drivers license because of an incident with a nun in a crosswalk. The judge let me off easy because I missed most of the children.

Seriously I face your same fears. A lot of you have seen my seven-passenger van. I drive old people to church and doctor visits.

Tomorrow night there is a frost warning and I’ll have to bring my potted plants inside.

I thought you were serious for a moment!!!! I think this all falls into getting used to the new normal --- I know with my 'scare' it took me a while - fortunately it all ended ok. Not as good as it was, but something I can live with -- but then again, what other choice do you have.

Still frosty up there? Yikes - its cold here. I remember in the late 99 through 2001, I can't recall the year, we were listening to the Indianapolis 500 -- which is ran about an hour west of here -- and we watched snow falling. Now, it wasn't a lot --- just little flakes in the air -- but it was enough to say it was in fact...snowing. Of course, the next year it was probably stifling hot with tornado's.

Who's camping this weekend? I'not! I took a weekend 'off' before Memorial Day -- little did I realize it was one of those strange years where Memorial Day is a week early. Oh bother! SO next weekend I've got a 3 day which means I'll at least get to enjoy the beautiful empty park Sunday night crowd before I had home Monday.

I haven’t been camping since the last CICO. I live in a very rural area and don’t need to get away from it all. If I leave the property it’s to see civilization! My last use of the 560 was as a kitchen pulling it to Virginia with five other people. It works perfect for road trips where I stay wherever I end up at the end of the day which could be a rest area, truck stop or church parking lot.

Did you get a back blade and loader with your new tractor?
No my older Branson 2400H has a front loader. The Kubota 2680 just has the belly mower.

The Kubota does have a three-point mount but currently nothing is attached. The Branson has a back plow. It works great for grading the gravel and pushing snow. I do have to push snow backwards which is a hassle but it does get the job done.

Beautiful photos! We did the British Isles Cruise (London to Bergen) ending in Oslo earlier this year. Headed back to Norway in February 2027 in Search of the Northern Lights. Photos are from the train Bergen to Oslo.
Quite the contrast from Ken & Peggy's
