I'm not sure...I used to think we went to the moon. I'm not so sure any more...(there, that might start some lively discussion)
One of my friends is a genuine honest to goodness flat earther. Those are fun camp fires.

Yah, I'm there with ya. I've discovered in the past week I much prefer 80 over 90. Amazing what 10 degrees will do. Add humiity into the mix and it gets intolerable fast.
The fall I took a few weeks ago, I am convinced that heat and humidity were playing a factor. I just find my brain 'shuts down' and I get woozie when temperatures soar. I think I spent too much time in an office building.

I’m thinking of continuing on after the CICO and be gone for a total of two weeks. I’ve seen most of the west and there are few places I could go where I’ve never been before. Now the eastern time zone is a different story. The only states I’ve never seen are New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
I don’t really camp but rather travel. I often have no destination and the voyage itself is the adventure. Maybe I should just take the van? The back makes into a very comfortable bed and if I take one seat out I have lots of space. I can even stand up in the van.
Any ideas?

Might be a good time to go see the fall colors in Maine and Vermont? I hear it's quite pretty as long as you're not in the big cities.

I know EZ-Pass can be purchased at any Florida Publix at the customer service desk.

It's been a while since I got my ez-pass but I think its $25 but then they give you that much credit. It's available at most convenience stores. You need to setup an account and likely a way for them to auto charge when it gets below some limit. It might be $0 or something like $5. You stick it on the windshield near the mirror. Last year on our big trip to Arizona and back it was mostly accepted everywhere. Not Oklahoma though, got that bill in the mail which was like $65. Ouch.

Are you traveling through areas often that need it? At least in my area I don't have a lot of toll roads...but almost everyone I've driven (Kansas, Florida, Illinois) most have pay-by-plate. Crossing the ohio river into Louisville -- they just mail me an invoice. Illinois makes it a little harder, you have to log on to a portal and create an account with your license plate number.
No hardware required. Last time I was in Florida, they did pay by plate --- if my memory servers. It costs just a little more, but you don't have do purchase anything. Tolls are higher though...it really depends on how often you'll be using it methinks.

After living in NY for awhile, I would not travel out that way on those roads without an EZ Pass. The “we will send you a bill in the mail” alternative was not a good experience for us. Some spots wanted us to get on a website within a few days to “declare” our trip, others didn’t, and we went through a zillion tolling stations once we got on one of those toll roads. Too much to keep track of.
Recommend: get an EZ Pass as early as possible on the trip. You set up the account and add your credit card info and establish a “threshold” at which the EZ Pass re-charges your credit card. The downside is you’re basically giving EZPass or whatever tolling authority runs it a perpetual free loan of X dollars (you set the threshold), and you lose visibility on just how much it costs to drive down Y road. Since those tollways no longer have a cash option where you can stop to pay a human (or a machine), you lose the latter visibility whether you use an EZPass or not. With the EZPass, you drive through a stretch of road that costs, say, $2. The tolling authority deducts $2 from your EZPass balance. You keep doing that until you hit your recharge threshold, then it auto-recharges the amount that you established to re-load your balance. Repeat.
Or take the slow route by setting your navigation to no tolls.
My wife tried the logon website IL .. after one hour of attempting to pay she gave up. The information must take awhile to upload your license plate .. then forgot the next week to attempt it again. Expensive trip around Chicago.

It costs less if I do pay by plate in Illinois however it’s only good for IL. If I use I-Pass it’s good for most states but more important its good for the states I would travel.
I would use it 2-4 times a year.
