Two aspiring CI owners

Wade and Nancy here in Eugene. Soon to retire, we've got the bug. We've been reading so much about builds, manufacturers, buying used, and all kinds or articles in between.
While the particular TD we wind up with is important, we're looking forward to meeting folks, sharing stories, and stealing cool ideas. So we will be coming to events, in our tent, or our TD.
A friend here in town gave us the tour of his 550 Ultra, and we are smitten. I'm a woodworker, and like the fit and finish.
We'll be asking questions, and listening well for the near future. But who knows, I just might jump in the car and go get a CI any day now.
And if you're ever driving through Eugene, drop a line, the cup's on us.

If you are thinking of a CI, check out the 'For Sale' section on this forum. Since one of you is a woodworker, I've seen some absolutely wonderful home-built Teardrops. When I was researching, there were also plenty of examples of people who weren't (until then) handy with tools and they built their own. You've probably already got it bookmarked, but upper left is a link to tnttt.com; which is where a lot of builders have their build journals and support each other with advice.

Whatever you decide, welcome!

We are just up the road in Salem. If we are heading South one of these days we would be happy to share our experiences with our 550

Frank just put his 550 up for sale. It's a beauty with a documented history right here on this very forum. He is also in your neck of the woods so to speak.

thanks Jay,

Sale is pending to another, delivery on Friday and if everything goes to plan, new owners will drive it away on Friday...

Also, Wade made contact, never hear anything back so went with this one.

Here's hoping... heheh, I never consider it closed until we swap and they don't ask to return it.. so hoping...

But thanks for the Plug.. appreciate it.. standing by with Breath in hand.. heheh, (watching too much Netflix Spartacus...)

thanks...

Frank,
I've noticed on average, it takes about a week before a "for sale" gets a serious inquiry. You've got a serious nibble.
You'll have no worries; these little trailers sell themselves. Besides, the lucky new owner(s) will have bragging rights that their Camp Inn trailer was previously owned
by the infamous F. Poole, margarita master and photographer extraordinare! How cool is that?! Pretty cool in my book.

Deb

Heheh, thanks Deb,
But I'm just a simple camper eh??

I'm sure Wade and Nan will find just what they're looking for. Once one has the hook, it's just a matter of time...

Hello,
We love the idea of meeting if you do come down I-5. We've seen one 550 U, and it belongs to friends.
It would be fun to hear new voices.
Oh, and lunch is on us!
541-342-7229 is a land line. And it works.
And thanks for the warm greeting. We think we're going to enjoy this community.

Heheh, yah, sorry Mann...
I never hear back from you all so had to move on.

I learned several lessons a long time ago, past life when I was doing real estate... i got so i didn't consider the "deal' close until several days after it "Recorded" and they didn't ask from the money back.. sigh..

so, without jinxing this, it's looking pretty firm. I deliver it Tomorrow afternoon..

So no "internet Air Letting" this time eh? ... that one in WI looked pretty good and of course Michael's... but I thought they were still wandering around AZ or somewhere...

Hi! Welcome to the forum and best wishes for finding the teardrop of your dreams! We pick up our teardrop April 1 and can't wait! Have gotten so much great info here and have met some wonderful people through it! Happy trails!

Welcome Wade and Nan,
We were pop-up camping and wanted to do something easier. We came across the CIs three years ago and we now will be picking up our CI in 36 days. We investigated all different kinds of TDs but found the build of the CIs to be far superior and that is why we we went with them. Hope you can find what you are looking for. This forem has been so great to get very useful information and tips.

Well, we have some news.
An old favorite of many has stepped over to the other side. Michael, of Dewey fame, is now seeing the world in Dizzy.
Meanwhile Nan and I are the proud new owners of Sunny Side.
I'll post a pic when I figure out how.

Just do a search on how to post - lots of instructions on the forum - that was how I learned.

Wade and Nan,

Congrats and welcome to the family. When you get a chance shoot us an email (not a forum PM) with your contact info so we can get you set up as a customer.

Cary

Wade and Nan,
Congrats on your new teardrop! Have fun planning for your adventures! Having a super time in our new Katie! Happy trails!

Well, it's now official. Since we adopted Dew Drop Inn (Dewey) we've been narrowing down our list of possible names.
Love Drop sounded too personal.
Sun Drop didn't quite make the final two.
So as we are learning some chords on our Ukes, the song Sunny Side of Life came along.
So, Sunnyside it is.
Keep on the sunny side, always on the sunny side,
Keep on the sunny side of life
It will help us every day, it will brighten all the way
If we'll keep on the sunny side of life
And so it goes...
