Anyone have camped or stayed in the Red River, NM area? We are looking at going there the first week in July. There is a musician we like there at the Motherlode Saloon that week. And we like New Mexico.
Never camped there; but Terri’s mom lived in Silver City for awhile. We loved the Chili Festival in Hatch, NM too! It’s a great place to visit. White Sands is awesome to see too!Anyone have camped or stayed in the Red River, NM area? We are looking at going there the first week in July. I am familiar with Red River NM having lived for many years in NM and camping throughout the State. The campground I am not familiar but I am quite familiar with that part of the State. It is glorious and majestic. You are so close to Wheeler Peak, elevation 13K+, Taos, Angel Fire, The Rio Grande Gorge, Los Alamos, Bandelier National Monument, and Santa Fe....and countless other amazing places all within an hour or two of Red River. Amazing country. Cheers! Enjoy, Salud!Anyone have camped or stayed in the Red River, NM area? We are looking at going there the first week in July. I worked on a Habit for Humanity build in Hobbs. That's when I first had Hatch Chilies. I've been near, but never to Red River. Area looks beautiful. You have a rave review above. Go for it!
