Charlie,
I was first attracted to the tear drop world just for hunting. It would allow me to hunt a few hours away without setting up a tent. After I stumbled upon the Camp-Inn website, I began to get serious. I talked to Ellen and we started to work out our finances. I will mention dollars here because we all know the cost. I had my "tent on wheels" capped at something less than 10K. Cary got us in touch with a local customer.
I explained to Ellen I did not plan to get TV, AC, Propane, Water. After we saw a 550 with all the stuff, we got TV, AC, Propane, and Water. My 10K tent on wheels went to 15K. I am very pleased. Ellen and I have used it more to camp than I have used it to hunt. That's a good thing.
I love hunting from the 550. It is perfect. I can use the Forrester as the tow vehicle. I wanted a unit where I did not cook where I slept. The tear drop was the ticket and Camp-Inn was the show.
Evan, The cargo carrier used as a deer hauler was always the plan. This keeps me from buying a truck just to haul a deer. Thanks on the login thing.
Jean, HO, HO, HO! This deer did not see many blacktop roads. Maybe the next one.
Ken, Thanks, Even a blind hog can find an acorn every now and then
George, I have cleared the water system and added the RV antifreeze. 18 degrees forecast for the next few nights. But I will continue to go out for the rest of the season. Last year we only shut down for the month of February.
