    Camper Vans

I appreciate all the notes of caution. The cost is astronomical but they are sure cool. There is one builder in particular, Otzi, that has a contractual agreement with Mercedes. Their built out vans become an officially recognized Mercedes model number that Mercedes fully supports. Very...

    Utah Itinerary to Share?

Anyone have a 5-10 day Utah camping loop to share? Prefer reservable campsites and since I travel with my dog and don’t like crowds, would prefer to avoid camping in the national parks. I would be coming from Southern California. Thanks!

This is the one that I carry, has saved me (and others) several times. Starts my Ram 1500 well. There are more powerful ones available. https://a.co/d/0h4yLn0

    About those solar generators

Ya, I checked and you are correct, Goal Zero pricing is much higher than the competition. Don’t think they will be able to sustain that with the rising n7mber of more affordable Sogens on the market. I sold a Jackery because I was not able to rely on the the cigarette lighter plug connection.

    Starlink Mini Mount

I mounted my Sarlink Mini to the AC cover using the Veritas Vans magnetic mounting kit secured with a "ZipTie" combo lock. They also sell a really nice, custom pelican-style carrying case that I purchased. Very happy with the mount and the performance of the Mini. It is secure enough to drive...

    About those solar generators

I think is it’s way past time to retire the cigarette lighter plug system. New vehicles don’t have them any longer and they are so prone to shaking loose. I love my Goal Zero Yeti 1000 Core because it comes with Anderson Power Pole inputs and output sockets that are super secure.

    New DO, campfire restrictions

Go to the bakery section of your local grocery store and read the ingredients list on a package of cookies or cupcakes. I studied organic chemistry in college and can’t pronounce half of them. Makes me wonder what’s in the rest of the deli stuff which don’t have ingredient labels. I won’t buy...
