    Protecting bike from weather

Not on the back on the roof of camper so more in the wind. I contacted a few companies that make them and they said not recommended.

    Protecting bike from weather

Thanks. I can fit it in the van but as you say it takes up alot of space. Perhaps I can move everything else onto the roof rack. Remove front wheel and put the bike upside down.

    Tongue Mounted Bike Rack?

The worst area was the brake rotors. Idk what you could put on as a coating that wouldnt affect the stopping power.

    Protecting bike from weather

No rain but when I got home I noticed the brake rotors and bolt heads had rust. I've looked at bike covers but they say that they dont hold up to highway speed...

    Update for wifi/ starlink

I found the $5 standby mode works well enough for email low res TV and android auto . Of course when everyone started using it for Android auto they changed it to not work above 10 mph. I use the auto kit which includes a long cigarette adaptor cord.

    Update for wifi/ starlink

I mount mine inside my van with suction cup mounts on the inside of the skylight. Works fine. For slightly better reception I've had it on the dashboard. I only watch YouTube and Netflix and use it for Android auto while driving.

Li battery care in hot wearher

I put a wifi thermometer next to mine. You can set a temp for it to send alarms to you. The only problem is if you change wifi networks while camping.you have to reset them . Someone probably makes a Bluetooth version that would eliminate that problem Smart Temperature Humidity Sensor Works...

    Misc Shore water hookup

I have treated city water and still filter mainly to get rid of the chlorine and fluoride. But I grew up drinking hose water. The new membrane filters are amazing though. Last year I did a cross nh bike ride and then a cross vt. We bikepacked carrying all our gear and used those filters to drink...

    Starlink Mini Mount

I've found that placing it on. Your dashboard works well . I now have it mounted inside under my skylight w suction cups. Excellent just get the pump type cups and check them every few days. If one of the pump buttons is out I just give 2 or 3 pumps and good to go. I get very good reception...

    Tongue Mounted Bike Rack?

I use one on my van but not when towing. Works great. When towing i opted for the roof rack mount onThe camper. FYI none of the bike or Mc covers are good for high wind exposure. They eventually develop tears and holes. What I've been doing is I use freezer bags and elecical tape for over the...

    Misc Shore water hookup

Pump was off but there was still pressure pushing the plug out ( sealing the connection) I got rained out before I could try it with the faucet open) must be some type of check valve otherwise the water would just flow out when the pressure built up. I know the tank isn't pressurized . The pump...
