Morning Cup Of Coffee And Weather

probably - wife is an extremely seasoned RN - I'm getting better every day. about 50% pain is gone. I can now do some very light dexteriy things...putting any weight on the left arm is uncomfortable but 'tollerable' if I don't exceed limits.

What is strange about the whole thing and I still can't answer this. Why no bumps and bruises except the arm. I mean nothing, not even a minor scrape or rash.

The thing that is so annoying about this is that it was completely avoidable. Not only the stupid thing that I did, but what he me in a tizzy that nudged me into stupid
We’e all done stupid stuff on poor decisions. Hope you get better soon.

Doing better today -- better enough I think I"m going to replace the brakes on Serenity tonight -- I hope. I can't wait to take a weekend and just go away into the great adventure for a little bit. Thinking about taking next week off just to heal.
(Eyes Sweeney skeptically... )

How many fingers am I holdin' up? No peeking! :P

I'm glad you're feeling better.

Please go camping on my behalf! I'm surviving on watching Youtube videos here while I wait for my 560 build to be done, but only just.

Reminds me of an old Steve Martin joke....he went to vegas and witness "There must be 57 !@#$@ up there!"

I"m having brake problems with mine right now --- parking brake is giving me fits, and, the curb side is overheating --- even after replacing the whole assembly. I'm getting REALLY frustrated right now...at my own inability at this point. Its been a really powerfully bad couple weeks. Heat and pain aren't helping.

All the wildfires in Canada are causing haze here. I’m staying inside for the next couple of days.

I think a lot of it is from the BWCA in northern MN. There are about 20 fires going up there right now, and the whole BWCA has been closed and campers evacuated for just the the third time in the history of the area. There are hazardous air quality warnings for a large part of the state, including our area, and it's definitely hard to breath when you go outside, and we can't see across the lake, neither of which we experienced to this extent from Canadian fires in the past. Right now the warnings are in effect until Friday. We could use some of that TX rain up in the northern part of the state, and southern Canada.
Here's an air quality checking website where you can check what it is by zip code. Hazardous level starts at 300ppm, and ours is currently 511.

Gotcher air cleaner?

We had a couple fire seasons in SoCal where fires in mtns just about made it to the beach.

I'd stocked up on stuff, hoses, fire fighting grade nozzles, an adapter to tap the street side pressure, to water the roof and fence if fire jumped the street from canyon other side...not needed, but worth peace of mind.

And
Bot a couple three room sized units and extra filters just before the crush at Home Depot, a week later emptied the shelves everywhere.

Had friends sleepover with kids when it got too smokey for them, couple nights.

Closed windows, Camped out in family room on the cool tile floor and played board games.

Burned by us five -ten miles on either side, so no evac needed. The sky was dark even ag noon tho.

Others had to go north to HellA or further to stay in hotels. Got a bit sporty there.

Nothing like the Paradise or Palisades fires, praise God.

Watch your back @Tour 931

Not much fire danger here. Just smoke. You know those fire hydrants only work when there’s water in the reservoirs.

I just finished my first cup of coffee and ventured outside to take this picture of my home in the overnight snow.

I had a foot of hard, dense crusted snow on the ground and this morning awoke to just more than seven inches of new snow. Gotta love these Wisconsin springs!

Please feel free to post anything about your day here. It’s a way of keeping the forum more active. Eventually people will start posting more about camping if they know someone is checking in daily.
No snow where I am today, just a nice quiet morning with a cup of coffee before getting started with work. Hope everyone has a great day, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your camping adventures and daily updates.

Watching the news this morning... prayers for all my Texas brethren living in the Hill Country. Over two feet of rain since Monday. The Guadalupe River has risen 32 feet in less than 4 hours. 59 counties under an emergency declaration. Said to be even worse than the event that went through that area last year, but luckily no one's been killed.

Meanwhile where I live, a few sprinkles but that's it. On a brighter note, it's Thursday! :)
