Update Leigh-z Inn Is Home

Our tale is not so long as some...

We headed up to Wisconsin last Sunday afternoon and stayed overnight in Mauston, ready to be at Camp-Inn first thing Monday morning (Jan 20). We had a great orientation with Marty and signed the wall. Then some talented elves went to work and wrapped her up snugly in plastic for the drive home. Cary checked our wiring and and we were delighted to find it was all hooked up correctly, which was the one nagging concern I had. We didn't beat the weather and so towed for the very first time through snow all the way home. That was a picnic compared to backing her up into our garage! I'm sure we'll usually just unhook and push her into the garage, but having never done it before, I was nervous pushing her uphill on an icy driveway. I'm sure everything will get easier when it warms up and we can take her out to practice.

Well, another day off school tomorrow for the cold. Stay warm, everyone!

Wow Jenn, Great presentation though I wished I could have slowed it down a little. My old eye doesn't see that fast. Or maybe its the eye/brain connection that is wearing out. lol Anyway I loved it.

Hello to The Leigh-Z Inn & Paige and Jason,
I hope you had an easy trip home. I suppose The Leigh-Z Inn will be settled up in her new nest till the weather gets better. Maybe you will have a couple of sleep inns in the garage. Looking forward to hearing of your adventures.

Hi, Pat--yep, she's at home in the garage. I can't help but peel off a little of her wrapping every time I walk by. I did get one of the doors free of plastic yesterday so I could take some interior cabinet measurements (and let the 4-year-old roll around in the cabin for a minute until it got too cold). We're hoping to take her out for the first time in late March. We'll see!

Here's the camper, wrapped for our snowy journey:

Is that a horse trailer? For....ummmm....really tiny horses? :)

Just getting you ready for all of the interesting questions you are bound to get!

We went to the DMV this afternoon and got the Leigh-Z Inn registered, titled, and ordered her plate. Lots of paperwork to fill out, but no problems whatsoever! The staff at the Plano, IL facility is so nice and helpful.

California DMV can learn a lot from Illinois. Our experience was a night mare. Glad you had it easy. Now if the weather would just cooperate, you'd be in camping heaven.

Be patient. It's coming.

Sue
