Great pictures guys! Tina, I really like your b&w version - the trailer almost glows. It looks like it was a great experience camping among those giant redwoods.

Rick, IRG is primarily a teardrop gathering, but there were 2 or 3 larger trailers (Tiny Travel Trailers) there as well. So far, they have all been near the same time of the year - it depends on availability. Sometime in January 2014 there will be an announcement that registration has opened. The previous IRG took 5 months to fill up, but in 2012 it only took 11 days. So, if you want to get in you'll have to jump on it. (The announcement will be on the T&TTT forum).

Well done, Tina and Jerry. Jim especially liked the banana slug (still a nine year old at heart). Those Colemans all lit up at night look like votive candles in a cathedral...well, we were in a cathedral of sorts, come to think of it. The black and white photo was particularly good. Thanks for sharing those.

Now we are waiting for your story of the long haul home. This ought to be good.

Camp On,

Sue and Jim

Dean camps at the public works office over New Years as the office opens the first business day after New Years Day. That means he may be camping there up to a week ahead of time in order to try to be first in line to reserve Pamplin Grove. This time, he ended up going there on December 28 & was still #2 in line. It is a popular park, especially for weddings, so he goes with a few dates in mind, just in case he isn't first in line. He always invites people to stop by his camp for a meal or to visit.

thanks all for the kind words on the photos...

Sue, I am procrastinating on writing the long haul, I really need your flair for writing. But want to get it done asap as I start class on monday and will then be busy with writing
papers :( Jerry has the pictures ready for me so I really should get motivated....

Wanted to share a picture that Wes took of my camper at IRG:

That has me pining for camping. Maybe in 2 weekends I can give myself a birthday camping trip. That would make my day! Great picture and one we would classify as a "framer"!
