HI Folks,

New member, new owner. I just picked up my 550 Classic the 27th of December. Met the team at Camp-Inn and received an excellent orientation from Cary and the crew. I've been reading the forum for months and just want to thank everyone for their time and comments posted here. (You folks are actually the reason I went with Camp-Inn.) You seem like a great group of people and I hope to meet some of you in the near future.

Happy New Year to All,
Michael

Welcome to the family, Michael! I'm sure you'll be very happy with your decision to go with Camp-Inn. Glad to have you here!

Every time I hear of someone picking up their trailer I get more excited about mine. Congratulations and keep us posted on your experiences going home.

I wish I could tell you that it wears off after a while, but the truth is the anticipation just builds. Then you FINALLY get it and you think, "OK, now I can calm down." But you don't...the anticipation just builds for the next trip!

In the end, you either just accept that you'll always be excited, or you completely geek out and be like us: We sometimes sleep in our Camp-Inn in the garage! Yeah, we probably need therapy. We use ours as a writing room, a meditation space (which for me means thinking about stuff for a while and then falling asleep), a media room...you name it. We've even recorded shows in ours!

So, savor the anticipation, Patty, and get used to it. The time will come. But if you're anything like us it does seem like it takes forever. ;)

Welcome to the forum, Michael!
We see you are from Virginia! Glad to know there is another Camp-Inn in the Old Dominion!
We hope you will consider joing us in August at our 2nd Annual MAUCICCO Gathering. Information has just been posted in the Gatherings section of the forum.

Another happy member - goody! Dan is right, it just gets better and better...sort of like a good marriage. But ignore the therapy bit, we're all way past help at this point. And anyway, even if there were such a thing as Campers Anonymous, nobody would attend because we'd all be out camping.

Welcome to the family, Michael and please share all your adventures.

Camp On,

Sue

Thanks Dan and Vanessa for the encouraging words. I ordered my trailer in early July and if I had gotten on the schedule right away it could have been completed in December or January but I can't travel across the country this time of year so my order was slid to be completed for pick up in April. So it has been a really long wait. It is started though and I should get build pictures in a couple of weeks. I have been busy reading everything on the forum and buying the necessities. You are right. I am so excited.

Thanks Sherry for the invite. It would be really great to have my first meet up with other tear droppers so soon. I'm not sure when mine will be ready exactly but will be thinking about this meetup to see if I can work it out.

Probably the snow will be barely melted. Does it warm up during the day at that time of year?

"It depends" lol it's very unpredictable. could be blizzard, could be shorts and flip flops weather.

Hi Jim & Jamie,

I'll put it on my calendar! Kerr lake is almost home for me, I grew up in North Carolina. See ya then!
