Whoa! Before anyone starts making changes to their order, all of the added "goodies" are not being done here at the factory...they will be added by Thomas Dolby's crew once it gets to Texas.

Back story? This is interesting. Those who remember their 80s music remember Thomas Dolby and his very innovative electronic music back then. He is still is very innovative and has become a real spokesperson for the Steampunk look. He was always one of the innovators of this look and it has become more refined over the years.

The artist rendering shown by Betsey was done by a well known artist in the graphic novel and steampunk world. As soon as we have the trailer done we will ship it down to a location in TX to have the Steampunk work done to it. Lots of glue on rivets and painting trim with a aged brass look, that sort of thing. Thomas has a shop that specializes in this work waiting to go on it. He also has a AV expert that is going to do some custom work inside. This thing will have a green screen over the inside of the front windows and both projector and cameras mounted inside. Thomas will be using it to do interviews inside with scenery playing on the green screen. Since it is a "time capsule" I assume this means there will be scenes from other times periods going on "outside" the time capsule on the green screens.

So much fun indeed.

very cool story - how the heck did he decide to call you guys?

I hope you get to deliver an empty shell, and that they don't rip out all the nice interior work you guys do.

I believe Thomas just has good taste, that's all ;).

Thomas is being pretty adamant about not ripping anything out. He wants it so it can go back to stock trim at anytime. Stock curtains will be replaced with red velour and there will be electronics installed along with the green screen panels and such. How they are going to do that without getting holes drilled into things I really don't know.

Awesome idea. I will have to suggest he make it to the Camp-Outt. I suspect his schedule wouldn't allow for it but I think it would be cool if he did.

Big time VELCRO! Full time RV'ers like we were use velcro to hold pictures, mirrors, clocks and anything else you can think of to their walls - works great! Industrial strength of course!

We have some great pics of the Time Capsule but are having trouble getting them up here. Mike is working on that now. We took a bunch of pics before they started putting the gun, etc. on the roof.

All that stuff has to come off when they travel & is then put back on at each stop on the tour.
