Camp-Inn Time Machine

First it was Thomas Dolby and his 560 Time Capsule, and now you can see in the latest Vera Bradley catalog a teardrop being used as a prop! Here's the link. It's on page 10.

Now I know it's not a CI but the "life" is getting a boost. Next thing you know the president and first lady will be traveling in teardrops because even the govt can't afford the price of gas!

That is a really nice teardrop. Dan, the guy who built it, lives in Indiana. He does custom builds & restores teardrops. Really a nice guy. The one in the picture is his personal teardrop.

Teardrops have appeared in all sorts of media - lots of newspapers (including CI being in the NY Times twice) catalogs, magazines (CI was voted one of Reader's Digest's Top 100 Best of America) movies, & on TV. If you get a chance to come to the shop, check out the Wall of Fame...some interesting things there...which reminds me, I have a bunch of things to frame & add to the Wall... ;)

Jenn, thanks. I was walking through the mall and just happened to look over towards the Vera Bradley storefront. Normally, I would be trucking for the food court to wait out Carol's shopping but something just caught my eye. The ad with the teardrop was blown up and sitting on an easel just outside the door! It's not everyday you see that so I wanted to share.
And Betsey is just a wealth of TD knowledge! Thanks, Betsey, for your ongoing TD101 classes.
Mike
