This is the one that can be either a freezer or refrigerator.
It has a compressor. It is the good one. You can check with Cary. I think he can back that up. Steve

Will it fit in the place for the cooler on the teardrop with those handles? Also does the insulated cover fit that Cary sells?

I think it is the same one Cary sells. But please get that word from him. Steve

The handles on the fridge do not fit in the cooler space. They come packed up in the box for the customer to install. But, you can't install them if using it with the Camp-Inn.

Not to worry though, there are also molded in handles on each side so you can still pick it up.

Yes, the insulated cover works with the Dometic AC/DC fridge.

    Cary,
How much does this fridge hold and is it fairly easy to pick up with just the recessed handles?

    Linda,

That is a 35qt fridge. Yes, it is very easy to pick up with the recessed handles.

    Steve,

Thanks for the link. We've been looking at these for a while. The best price we'd found was $519. We ordered one tonight.

Very good. I ordered the night before and it shipped the next day. From the shipping information I discovered it is in Nova Scotia. It is scheduled for a seven day delivery time.

SIGH!!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I waited too late! (*&^%&**@#!!! They're now $699.95! I had to wait for the shekels to come in and so I guess I'm on the hunt for dry ice - I found an ice house close by, so I'll google them...oh well, such is life!

Yikes, hopefully Steve will still get his.

Merideth, where did you find one for $519? Maybe Linda can order that one. That also is waaaaaay below wholesale price on this unit. That too is a deal someone should jump on.

Yeah that would be great Meredith. - However, I FINALLY found dry ice in my area - the closest was Austin or San Antonio over an hr. away! Guess where? WAL-MART! Those of us who love Wal Mart have a saying: "If you can't find it at Wal-Mart, you don't need it!" They have just about everything and living rural, that's makes it NICE!

Thanks for the link. It is still listed as $519 and with shipping for me, it is about $563. I am assuming that this will plug into my car. I would like to order it and use it for the trip to Wisconsin. I would take it into the hotel at night and plug it in there.

Cary, According to the UPS tracking number, it was just tagged for export from Quebec Canada. It started in Nova Scotia. I wonder if these were last years models.

Meribeth, Have you guys confirmed shipment? I suspect it will be ok. Mine seems to have gone well. Should be here the 19th.

Linda, Too bad. I just checked the link. WOW!!! $699.95. That is unbelieveable.

Well Steve, I guess it's just not to be AT THIS TIME... Just found out my computer may have to be replaced- Toshiba said my problem was covered by warranty but my computer guy that backed it up for me before I send it back said there's "no way"...long story....I believe my guy. So, I'll be buying a new one most probably - will find out tonight hopefully. Gonna call'em back and double ck. my problem with them.

    Steve,

We got the UPS tracking number and ours will delivered on the 19th, too. We knew it was coming from Canada when we ordered it. I looked up the company and couldn't find anything -- good or bad -- about them.

    Joan,
Here is the link to another site I have been watching. They must have just reduced their price to $499. Last time I checked they were $550-560. They are located out west so you might save a few bucks on shipping as well.

Thanks Benn but I decided to jump on the other deal before it too went away. :)

    Benn,
Well I decided to go ahead and get it - thanks for the link! I just ordered it and the cover together - the cover was about $7 cheaper through Cary, but I figured shipping would make it higher, so I got the cover with it. HOWEVER, I did NOT get the Universal Fixing Kit. Don't know what that is. Anyone have an idea?

    Here's my breakdown:

    Subtotal: $544.90
    Discount: $0.00
    Shipping: $47.30
    Sales Tax: $0.00
    Total: $592.20

Wish I would have had a discount coupon, but it wasn't available. But I'm still happy...now how to use the stainless steel cooler from Camp Inn? Too big for drinks - maybe I can pack my towels inside?
