Wirering Question

Hi,

I got some LED lights for Christmas and I was thinking about adding a connector to match the one that feeds the light in the galley.

But I was wondering if I could add a "Y" to feed two different strings from the same connector in the galley. As in:
Light string one
galley connector --<
Light string two

My DC electrical theory/practice is very old and mostly forgotten, so don't know if this would cause a issue such as a problematic voltage drop.

TIA
Jim

A "Y" connection is perfectly fine. The two strings need to be connected in parallel, meaning the two string "+" wires are connected together, to the "+" of the trailer connector; two string "-" wires are connected together, to the "-" of the trailer connector. When I say "connected together" this means electrically, there may be connectors at any point. I hope this is clear, if not, shoot me a PM and I'll try to help out.
