Water Pumping Out Quick Connect For City Line

Hmm, I seem to have water pumping out the city line quick connect when I turn the pump on. It seems as though a valve or something is stuck open.

Any suggestions?

There is a spring loaded plunger/one-way thingie (poppet?) in there that I have had get stuck in the open position.
I took a small WOODEN dowel and poked at it some and it got unstuck and worked properly since. You should be able to see it with a flashlight by peering inside the fitting.
