It's forecast to reach 100 degrees this time next week Mike. "Spring is in the air" This crew is heading back to cooler climes starting tomorrow. Say goodbye to the desert "Dizzy"...

...till next winter.

Michael

Are you both loving Dizzy? We look forward to hearing about your adventures down the road! And photos too! The flowering cacti are gorgeous!

Teardrop nation

Came across this photo online, it's a teardrop standy that's been repurposed, care to guess what part of the country this picture was taken...

photo20.jpg

...yachting anyone?

Michael

Have you ever wondered how many Camp-Inns would fit on a car carrier? While your contemplating that you can count how many Smart Cars fit.

Seen at an interstate 5 rest stop today

Back in the saddle again..

Say, there's a buyer, Wade, that might be interested in your TD... you might have already been in contact, but just FYI...

welcome back....

Thanks for the heads up Frank, I responded to Nancy and Wade's PM, congrats on finding new owners for LeDroppe...came across this and thought I'd post it here...

...now this is something every teardropper can appreciate, you tow it with a bicycle...

photo28.jpg

... no I'm not talkin about that worn out publicity stunt photo from a bygone era, I'm talkin about a teardrop travel trailer that you can tow with your bike today!

It apparently weighs in at a scant 88 pounds. Just think of the possibilities... how bout an electric bike with a solar panel to keep everything humming...it's called The Wide Path Camper.

Michael

heheh, that or a "ROG's" bike...
(Retired Old Geezer/Goat_

they were on their way to Alaskeeeeee...
It expanded to about twice the size of the TD.

the bikes? Hmmmm it's all fun and games until a breeze/wind/rain/dust appear.. or a hill...

Yeah, you got it Frank, you'd have to choose your weather carefully, but a lot of pass times/sports are like that... you don't start a sailboat voyage during a hurricane... right?

Check out this potential tow vehicle with built in solar...I mean you'd definitely have "no emissions" bragging rights with the Wide Path Camper and the ELF solar electric tricycle...just sayin...

Michael

Yah, Solar, it's the way to go..

I'll be getting several panels on the camper and more on the enclosed trailer roof with batteries in there for back up.

They're getting better on these panels.
I just got and tried the small panels for cell phones/tablets and worked great... not in a hurry of course... and it was a sunny-sunny day, sigh, for a bit anyway..

Fun in the Sun... and away from the Flock of Geese thruway

The "Dizzy" crew lived happily off grid for months last winter with just our 120 watt panel...but of course we burned plenty getting from A to B.

Michael

Yah, While I'm not planning on being a "Boonie", well not at first, I figure I'll get them for eventual use.. and maybe even one of those windmills, but noisy I 'hear' (Pun intended)

Here's another ROG (retired old geezer/goat) rig. It's a chopper/camper, came accross the picture online.

Alaskee anyone?
