Itinerary Tears By The River #8

TEARS BY THE RIVER 8

We will be hosting TBTR#8 on September 10-13th @ Thomson Causeway in Thomson, Illinois.
We can start booking around March 10th. We will be in the River Loop again....

Thomson Causeway is run by the Core of Engineer on the Mississippi River. This campground fills up fast. The cost went up to $20 per night
but state parks also went up in Illinois this year to $24. Thursday night you can get half price camping with what some call the "old farts, uhm folks, card".

To see more about this park and/or reserve just go to:http://www.recreation.gov/ and type Thomson Causeway in the park or facility name.

The rangers have graciously blocked off the Fri-Sat nights for us, as they feel we are a respectable group. Jerry and I have paid for these nights and will proceed as last year. You will need to go online and book a site if coming in early, Wednesday/Thursday. Then pm us the site and we will send you our address if needed to send us a check for $40 camping on Friday/Saturday.

If we get over 20 trailers, we can then let people double up. If coming in on Friday, just pm us for address to send a check.

thanks!
Jerry & Tina

It sounds like fun! Wish we could be there, but we won't be in that neck of the woods at that time. Hope you all have a great time!

Will add you to the list...I'll PM you where to send the fee to for Friday/Saturday nights camping. If you are coming in on Thursday please go online to reserve that night and let me know what site you are on.

Sorry about the delayed response trying to work through some unexpected planning issues on this end which are still unresolved will keep you posted. THX R

Went to the site. Wow, looks like a fantastic place. So sad we won't be in the area then, but happy for all of you. Sounds like you're in for a blast.

Illinois has such lovely vistas...sunsets....lazy rivers and rolling green everywhere. So peaceful.

Camp on,

Sue

What a wonderful weekend we had for a gathering.
Hoping everyone had safe journeys home. Jerry and I want to thank everyone for making this another successful TBTR.
We had 26 trailers, our most yet, of all sorts and many new folks welcomed into the group.

Jean I hope it wasn't too cold for you up there, as it got a little chilly at night for us. Down to 46 degrees but a bit of apple pie warms one right up fast.

Fantastic weekend with friends old & new!

Big THANK YOU to Tina & Jerry for another successful TBTR! Always a great time!

Looking forward to see those who can make it for the CICO in 10 days!

Camp On!

Thanks Jerry and Tina for all your work. Thanks Betsey and Craig for the great ice cream.
Had a great time. The camper is all washed and chomping at the bit to leave the garage again.
