Update Teardrop #454

That's way cool but I dread the day the CI's become common place....but so far, that's a long ways off I suspect! How fun for you all! Neat pic!

Mega cool I cant imagine meeting another CI just by chance.
Actually, this is the second time this has happened for us. The first time was in June in Badlands after we picked up our CI. That one was more likely, though, since it's closer to Necedah and seems to be a common stopover for new owners heading back west. But still. Here's the blog entry for the other owners from our previous encounter:

So far, we're 2 for 2.

Good to see those smiles B&K. It will probanly be a better chance that two CI's end up in the same spot with about 500 of em on the road now.

Love it though.

We have yet to see another CI in the wild...We never even saw another teardrop on the road for nearly 4 years after our first one was built and that one was actually an original Modernistic. Since that time, we've seen maybe 3-4 out on the roads...of course, teardrop gatherings don't count.

Thanks for posting the picture, Sardineman! Meeting up with you and #437 has been one of the highlights of the trip so far - such an unexpected pleasure. I told Bob that Parkway drivers passing us at different points - as we were going in opposite directions - likely wondered if there was a place in the area to rent these.

We are into day #43 of our trip and have spent 16 nights in the TD. At this point no name has popped into minds, so we continue to call it "the baby." We have seen beautiful country and have done marginally well navigating in some of the cities we've passed through (mostly because the navigator - me - was uncertain of directions). Bob has become a more skilled backer-upper but we continue to need practice. Have enjoyed talking to the folks who stop to ask about the TD. It is definitely meeting our expectations!

We will post the whole story when we return to Seattle AND study the instructions for posting pictures. Currently in Alabama and will head west at the beginning of the week.

Sardineman,

I just realized who you met up with in SD when I looked at the blog. That is cool that you bumped into Steve. Yes, he was on his way to making his first visit to us. Had us do some updates of things his older unit didn't have. When I say older, I do mean that too. His unit is serial number 57! So, this was a teardrop that had been all over already by that point.
