These are from this weekend's trip to Michigan's Sleeping Bear Dunes Nat'l. Lakeshore area near Traverse City. The weather & colors were great. Some of the towns were holding fairs, where people demonstrated baking, their old cars, sewing, blacksmithing, etc. It's a great place to go.

Thanks everybody. It was a gorgeous weekend. It's now cold and rainy, with more of the same coming. Time to start looking around the midwest for good weather somewhere this weekend.

I especially like the leaf in the copper. Is that a copper bird bath? We just bought one on line from that part of MI.

Thanks Pat. The leave is actually floating in Lake Michigan, at the end of our paddle down the Platte River.

Love this picture!

In the mid 1980's, Craig & I lived for a summer in Traverse City State Park in a tent while we did cable installation on the peninsula. Spent a lot of time at the dunes. Absolutely loved the area.

A couple more shots...

Thanks Betsey. It is a beautiful area. Here's a few more from the weekend.

That's why I want to take photography classes!

Linda, just make sure something pretty's in your frame and shoot! For me, that's often Peggy, much to her displeasure, but after 35+ years I think she's resigned herself to it.
