Portable Toilets

Re: Travel John update

Jenn, take a look at the Pee Wee bag:http://www.cleanwaste.com/pee-wee-urine-bag
I read one review where the woman said her daughter could use in the back seat of the car with a towel drape. I also read that CVS might carry one type.

They are a one time use so would probably be costly but I don't think I would want to be carrying the red bottle type back and forth in a camp ground. by the way I would not buy anything in a store that treated me like that - how rude.

The Pett will certainly need the side tent or if we have the Eureka Screen tent up with the sides down that would work.

Last year I found that as much as I like a beer around the camp fire before bed - it created a hike in the night - but a small glass of wine did not.

DIY:

I went through all the PETT and some other ones, and settled on making my own. Since it's just me, it's this or wandering off at 3am into the bush.

Basically, I use the powders in the market's produce plastic bags, 2 and then in the plastic shopping bags... put them in a little sand bucket and works find. Morning, early, just tie a knot and toss away. But again, single male, so not too much of a problem.

Otherwise, I'd try the bucket with seat/lid, would use their bags of course and the Shower Tent. While they are expensive, one scoop or two will be enough for one.

Powders:

Clean Waste - Poo powders:

Tent: (have the Camp Inn one, but would use the bigger one for showers too)
Shower Tent

- just be sure to check the "Shadows" if using at night with a night light, Silhouette
