Like Opening Day is big Baseball, it is also a fun day in camping too. Heading out in a few minutes to Keowee-Toxaway State Park at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains in South Carolina located on Lake Keowee. We will get in some hiking in the area and head over to a nearby microbrewery Saturday afternoon to watch my alma mater, Wofford taking on Kentucky in Round 2 of the NCAA basketball tournament. We like this place and they will have some live music later and a food truck, I think BBQ is on tap this week. The weather forecast looks great. Hopefully, I'll be hoisting a beer in celebration of a Terrier upset of Kentucky and not shedding a tear into my beer.
 
Had a great 3 days camping at Keowee-Toxaway State Park. This is our third time there in the last year and it has become one of our favorites. Small, quiet campground that usually only attracts serious campers and this weekend we had perfect weather. The first day we made it over to a local brewery to watch the Wofford-Kentucky game and enjoyed some BBQ off the food truck they had there. Sunday, we went hiking in the Nine Times Preserve. This was a really nice trail we hiked on got to see some wildflowers, although in the next few weeks, it will be really showy. The Preserve is managed by the Nature Conservancy. In the afternoon, we down to the canoe launch on Lake Keowee in the park and enjoyed the vie. The campground itself is way above the water, so the only to see the lake is go to this area. Most of the weekend was just a lazy weekend at the campsite. Great views of the sunset from Site 4 where were. Actually, you get views of the sunrise too. The campground is on top of hill and the top is just big enough for 10 sites. For some reason I am not able to share or upload file from my phone or desktop to show some pics of the area. Thanks for sharing your weekend experiences. It's always fun to hear from others. I also can't get photos to upload. Not sure what's up with that.
