Yeah, lots of destinations in mind. Unfortunately right now it’s still too cold and rainy. I guess we could go south to California. Warm and dry there.

I know that problem --- We're in the midst of a burgeoning spring --- we probably have 1 more light snow or freeze but the daytime temps are definately moving in the right direction. I don't know how much more of this locked up for winter I can take...

Our travels this year will be a little less --- a lot more local summer weekends. Badlands is in our future. We've been there before. I'm sure the trees in the black hills havn't grown back yet (darned chinese imported beetles) but its still an amazing place
 
General plan for us is local weekends through the summer, figure out what gear we need and eventually head to Utah and the southwest.

The 550 Special is pretty utilitarian so we’re thinking there’s a lot of KOAs and meals out along the way. But I’ll ask for advice on such topics in the appropriate subject areas of the forum.

I emailed them prior to purchasing but hadn’t thought about letting them know we bought it. Thanks for the suggestion. It was nice learning directly from the manufacturer how many were built that year, etc

Wednesday I was scraping ice off the windshield and yesterday it was 75 and sunny and I was wanting to hitch up the camper and roll. But the forecast says rain and highs of 45 through Easter, and there’s this job where they expect me to come in and work everyday. :-)
