Morning Cup Of Coffee And Weather

The one sign in the office has a clock. Funny thing is I collect beer signs and I don’t drink alcohol.

I’m looking at ordering two neon beer signs to put in the window so I can see them from the camping area.
Well then, I guess since it's never beer thirty at your house, the clock you already have should suffice. ;)

Try Windy for a very comprehensive weather app.

This is a great app/website.

It's also worth mentioning that if you're camping (particularly out west) and there are wildland fires in the area, knowing the wind direction is *critical* for figuring out which way the fire will go; consider that people have been overun in their campgrounds in the past, and people's escape routes have been blocked by rapidly moving fires (being driven by wind). There was a situation a couple years ago here in California where campers were trapped and had to be rescued by air. Wind knowledge could save your life.

Only thing worse that fires are Tornado's --- Had one of those pass 1/8-1/4 of a mile from where I was at the time --- I was enveloped in the debris cloud....That's something I hope I NEVER experience again. Seeing trees fly past you reminds you how small we really are :D

This thread has definately gone quiet!

Boy,where was this weather while I was on vacation LAST week. Woke up today to a crisp 57 degrees with a bright blue sky, and that beautiful warm yellow color in the morning sun.

I am looking forward to a high of 80 today --- which when combined with 57 makes today my favorite weather. Not too hot, not too cold....juuust right.

I'm not camping this weekend --- I have to paint the trim on a shed/barn, this weekend and pull some pretty serious weeds out of a wildflow garden (20x30 square foot plot we allow to do whatever it wants --- My bees absconded last year, but I hope to start a coupe new colonies next spring --- They don't have to travel very far to find a nice appetizer :)

I'm thinking about buyingi a bunch of clover seed too, and maybe turning to pure fertiilzers instead of herbicidal types. Its a shame people consider 'clover' as a weed, it really does have a lot of benefits -- bees being the most important, the fact it adds nitrogen back to the soil is another...

One thing at a time Sweeney...one thing at a time.

Maybe I’ll start some trouble to liven things up!

I’m slowly becoming a Milwaukee Brewers fan. I came from Seattle and Milwaukee stole the Seattle Pilots in 1969. Maybe I shouldn’t hold a grudge for so long.

Finished rebuilding a water-damaged corner of a friend's cabin near Viroqua, WI this afternoon. In time to get a couple hours in on a local fly stream for some beautiful little Browns...
Viroqua? I didn't know that we were so close to each other. I am down by the river (I don't have a van) in Stoddard
