Morning Cup Of Coffee And Weather

I bought three old hay bale hooks yesterday.

And a concrete skull.

What are the odds I found a side table that matches my tulip chair I bought months ago in a different state. Both were originally green and were then painted red.

I had a couple visitors walk by the house this morning. They have been hanging around all summer.
Sand Hill crane's. We really noticed a substantial increase in their numbers around east central MN over the last few years. They hang around the local airport too, but seem a little smarter than the Canadian geese, who seem to be attracted to the runway a lot more than the cranes. There have been a few expensive goose/plane collisions over the years, but none that I'm aware of with the cranes.

Just got back from the Smokies, East coast Hampton VA and New River NP. Last night we stayed at Tippecanoe SP IND, went into the town of Winamac for a pizza at Tippy’s very good. While waiting we drove through the city park. The 4H fair was going on and got some ice cold lemonades then picked or order at their drive through window. At a quick glance it looked like a nice little town.

We had Site 2 which we picked amongst the dozens of open spots. It was a nice campground, and another one in a list of probably 100’s? That was created with the CCC. The late 1920’s into the 30’s many CCC campgrounds were created.

We've camped at Tippecanoe several times with our kids in the past, it was always a great park. Most of the Indiana state parks we've visited have been very well maintained with nice natural features.
New River Gorge was a beautiful park. Great hikes and nice campgrounds. Sounds like you had a good trip.

Where did you camp in the Smokies?

Just spent a few days in Montana fly fishing the Bighorn River for Browns & Rainbows. Weather was OK - mid 80's and no rain - I could've handled more cloud cover... Nice fish, and beautiful country.

Thats some pretty country there. Good folk too.

Good eating! Are you a catch and release only kinda guy, or a harvester of breakfast trout fisherman?

Ever read the Joe Pickett novels?

This was a catch & release group, although technically we could have kept fish. I've found most outfits promote it, which is fine by me.
I have not seen Joe Pickett, I will check them out, thanks.

Nice pics -shows how you can really glamp in style with a couple accessory items- awning, standalone screened room,
Or
A quick overnite just sleep in the "baby airstream" as some ask about it...
Totally agree

I made a plywood platform like the one that is posted here in the forum. It worked great speeds set up time and was very useful on driveways. The bonus, it also worked for the 23zero shower tent / bathroom.
