On paper, it looks like its respectable! 3,500 pounds would be two of what I have now
That said, you may find better information in Mazda-specific forums. I CAN tell you the campinn pretty much disappears behind all of my tow vehicles, I forget it is there on all of them except my Rav4, which is not a great tow platform. There, it goes down flat streets just fine -- but rolling hills give it problems, and braking is weak...
But this isn't about RAV4's.
The Campinn's towing characteristics are very neutral -- Serenity almost disappears into the slipstream. I've forgotten it is there. While it is 100% gas, it looses 5 MPG or so. The Chevy Express (cargo van) I lose about 3mpg. EV's -- they tend to be more finicky. The RAV MPG is all over the board --- Anywhere from 35 to 45. But its wonderful towing at 32mpg
