Junior Ranger
In a completely different campsite than Evan just reviewed, we had the privilege (eh-hem), to stay at a KOA this weekend. You can see my full review here:
Have Kid Will Teardrop
In a nutshell:
No privacy at all. Packed with families and barking dogs (but no bitey bugs – Frank, avoid it like the plague, unless you are desperate). The sites are tiny, but served their purpose. Bathrooms were really outdated but clean. The employees – nicest people on earth and very knowledgable about the area and really tried to be as helpful as they could. Things were very clean, but it was busy, and Laddy has walked away with an updated vocabulary that might get him kicked out of school (fingers crossed he was too busy riding bikes to hear most of it – thanks to our neighbors). 6.5/10
On the bright side, we checked out a really nice beach and Mick got to go out and play in the surf in his kayak. That made him very happy. Roads End State Recreation Site (the beach) was busy, but we had a nice time playing there.
