Are the lights inside the sleeping area strong enough for reading a book?

Yes they are more then strong enough you might get a sun tan.

Yes. We upgraded our 550 classic lights to the ones in the ultra models. Would highly recommend it (can be upgraded post order -we upgraded the lights after seeing someone else's trailer).
