This weekend (June 13-15), the Indiana Tearjerkers Council is gathering at Potato Creek State Park in Northern Indiana, near South Bend. It's not too late to join us!
We're a unique bunch, with some members preferring traditional tearjerkers and others opting for bigger campers. Despite our differences, we all come
together to share good food, great company, and a sense of community. Our fearless leader Andy has really outdone himself this time, with delicious grub, thoughtful gift bags, and a welcoming atmosphere.
If you're from Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio, or Michigan, don't miss this opportunity to connect with fellow tearjerkers! We'll be gathering at:
* Summit Lake on July 11-13: A peaceful spot near New Castle, Indiana, with a man-made lake (just watch out for the blue-green algae warnings).
* Charlestown State Park on August 22-24: Explore the park's amazing trails and discover its fascinating history. Did you know that an
abandoned resort called Rose Island once stood here? It was a luxurious getaway spot in the early 1900s, with a managerie, dance hall, swimming pool...all gone except the echos. Its a spooky trail.
* Brown County State Park on September (date TBA): Join us for the Crossroads of America Gathering and experience the beauty of this Indiana park. This one's not to be missed!
