I am late posting here -- we are sort of newbies" -- as we got our new 550 Ultra in April, and have been camping alot these past 7 months! We drove the 1200 miles to Necedah, WI - got the awesome all day orientation from Cary - and have been slowly getting the hang of it since. We love our "Tin Lizzie", and are so impressed with how well designed it is for storage and efficiency. We have put 5000 miles on her so far, and when I retire next year, there will be much longer trips. We are done for season now as it is getting too cold. Cold sleeping, and hanging outside at the galley. We like warm southern weather! Love this forum. Thanks tonall who post great info here. Mia & Richard
 
Welcome. Sounds like we are not far ahead of you. We picked up our camper in March. We feel our way along and ask questions!
 
We'll be up your way some in the future. Not sure it will be camping necessarily, but our daughter is doing a a Co-op/Internship with Burt's Bees starting in mid to late July. She will be there until December.

If you bring your camper you will have lots of great campgrounds to explore here in NC. We camp in the mountains and the beach. Reach out if you want any tips on camping. Hope your daughter enjoys NC!
