Our Land Cruiser has the inverter/outlet. Love it. Probably one of the best features of the vehicle.

I actually would really like to have one -- but putting in the lithium battery has pretty much taken care of the camping problem --- wont' run the AC but I love getting a full wekeend of lights, fan, and a computer top off.

I know this has been weighting a little heavy on me. I have had several customers lose fridges full of food...plus, all we have is a well here to when power is out so is our water. That is a big deal. That of course complicates things as deep well pumps are 220 volt...

We had another mult-hour outage yesterday after a really nasty storm passed through Indiana --- 106 mile an hour straight line winds were reported north of us. We lost a couple big trees in the neighborhood. I've been watching David Prowse on youtube, and am probably at some point going to build a "power wagon" the rack mounted UPS batteries and a collection of victron inverter/charger. I've got a transfer switch for RV application available to me -- a customer upgraded his. He thought it was dfective, but I"ve tested it and its is fine! My win.

After the Big Freeze here in TX a few years ago, a lot of people started looking for power alternatives because Oncor doubled electric rates to cover their losses during the event. Electric bills here in the summer are brutal and we have unplanned power outages when the grid is nearing capacity in the summer. Serious thinking is going into a home-grown solar setup with a multi-KW battery bank in the garage. Even if it's just enough to run the fridge, freezer and a portable AC unit for a few hours at night I think would be worth it.

Yeah, I was thinking of you this morning when they were showing all the flooding in Indiana....called it a 1000 yr flood. Yikes!

Our caretaker sent me a picture two days ago after they had some strong wind storms in AZ on Sunday night.


We've had a couple power outages here this summer, and I recently upgraded our EcoFlow back-up battery system to their Delta Pro Ultra so I could plug the Silverado EV into it and keep it charged up to a couple weeks if needed, but still have about 12hrs of battery when unhooked from the truck, making it usable during the outage for long enough to go run errands, and charge at a public charger for additional run time at home if required. So, with two 1024 watt camping units, a DC to DC 800 watt alternator charger, and two 3600 watt units, with a dual voltage hub for 240V needs (from our former house back-up system), I may have an EcoFlow sale coming up!
