What kind of foam did you use? I just wear croks (ya ya, I know) when camping with 'nice' shoes in the car if we are going anywhere. I just have to remember to wack 'em on the ground. I've heard of stinging insects making a nightly home in shoes outside before. Can't say I'm thrilled about that

Ha! Not a bad idea. Mostly we're just fair weather campers; in a pinch run back and forth to car put stuff out of rain and then hop under the covers in the TD.Do you put one of those drink umbrellas in the shoe to keep them from getting wet?

We put our shoes in small plastic containers and push them under the entry doors. Very easy to grab and helps keep the dirt out of the camper.

I copy your tip on this with a sealed lid.
Keeps the AZ wood scorpions and TX fire ants and pit vipers out of my Merrills and Crocs.
