Dish Storage

They aren't Corelle, but we like these because they are unbreakable, and you can store the plates on their side, which takes up very little room. We store our dishes and cups in the little cabinet to the right of the stove area. Jim just added a little shelf in there. I'll try and post a picture of our arrangement later today.

Here's a photo of what we call our "cupboard". Jim added a plexiglas shelf for the cups. The GSI infinity square plates stand on their side on the right. Boxes of ziploc bags fit nicely behind the plates. Bowls and measuring cup sit below the shelf. And there is still room for more "stuff", although we try to travel light!

Hey Pat,
We picked up a set of " Corelle Dishes " for my Raindrop. I was storing it " in the Box ", inside of my counter storage area, next to the sink.
In camp we would then unpack a few (for two)& stack them layered with paper towels on the left or right side, which allowed me to close/ secure the hatch @ night.
Thanksgiving dinner:2009
I enjoy cooking & eating with all of the comforts of home. But,.. washing dishes isn't my favorite pastime while camping !

Most of my items were purchased @ " Wallymart " or " Bed Bath & Beyond ".
Again, I love to " Cook " ( BBQ ), but hate doing dishes.
I'm currently using " Paper/ Plastic ", for quick meals; Hotdogs/ Burgers/ Steaks.
I've also decided to keep my Stainless Steel Mess trays,inside of my Raindrop.
The " Corelle & formal Acces. " will only be used for my special occassion " Dinners ".
Although,..My girfriend is not thrilled with the Trays ...!

we use our Corelle set for 4. Store Plates and bowls on the left shelf and cups upside down on the right side with some glasses. I put the rubbery shelf liner on the shelves and and cut a square for between each plate and bowl. Works great so far. I tuck the dish towels, pot holders next to the plates and the paper towels and paper napkins infront of the cups and glasses on the right. We like to camp with as little "stuff" as possible to keep life simple. Works well for us.

I don't know how to add an image but I had a friend who made dish storage with wooden dividers that fit very nicely on the upper left. I can store my dishes and glasses vertically and they are tight enough to not move around. I could send you a photo via email if you want.
I'm wondering - does all the stuff you have on the top 2 shelves stay in place when you travel or do you have to put in in something and store it elsewhere? I have a small cannister set I want to put on the left shelf with flour, sugar, coffee and don't want it spilling. If it all fits tight, does the galley lid hold it in place? Thanks!

Most of the dish storage is tight enough that nothing moves. The bowls are in the front with extra space and I put washcloths, plastic bags around them to keep it from moving. I like grabbing dishes without having to unstack or search.
