Update Deposit sent - now, build pictures!

We're coming up on the end now. Galley looks to be all but done. We have fenders! We have curtains! We have gas! ((:) All the little details are coming together...

I think I'll have only 1 or 2 more weekly updates before she's done and ready for me to come get schooled. Now we turn to financing, which is frustrating the heck outta me right now. Not for lack of good standing credit-wise, but in finding a lender who doesn't puke when I say, "Direct purchase from the manufacturer..."

Beautiful! Good luck let us know how it goes with lender. Has to some out there that will appreciate the best factory built craftmanship "better than Airstream" thats a model for industry...
Wonder if the folks who have bot the second bests might have referrals on their forums.

I've had USAA on cars for 41 years. Saved my butt a couple times.

They subbed my CI coverage out to a good company- "Foremost" low rates, good service. Underwritten by StateFarm.


Never had to file a claim yet but have peace of mind that USAA is "their supervisor"...

Paid cash for my used 560 but no surprise USAA Bank would cover a new RV loan.

Quality manufacturing with 20+ year track record means low underwriting risk for banks and insurers.

Be interested in an update if you give them a try on financing a loan new...@taranis17

I will look into it after I get the initial round of financing done. Was just telling Mrs. Taranis the same thing. Same for insurance. I appreciate the tip!

Yeah, they pushed us to Progressive via a partnership, and we had a few bumps with Progressive. I, too, wish that I could enjoy the same quality of coverage I have on my auto and renters for my CI.

We do all our banking with them so that perhaps made the process smoother for a loan. I don’t remember any of the details but I do remember it being simple and smooth.

I want a kamok ---the lack of a 'side room'is the one thing that stops me cold. Surely something could be made but, I just don't have the time or ambition. I have also thought about buying one for 'my side' - the street side. Just to be able to hang my feet out the side and put on my shoes out of the rain

@taranis17 are you picking up at the nest? Hopfully at CICO :)

Your pre-delivery inspection will impress you --- it's not the typical "Sign here saying your new RV was demonstrated to you..." just before you get a 5-minute "good luck" from some kid who barely shaves.

Yep! Picking up at the nest then headed straight over to CICO - that’s the plan. I’m signed up and if I’m correct no campground reservation needed, just sign up for the event which is already done.

The Kamok is a no-brainer but I’m probably also coming with a Kelte Backroads too for the galley or the drivers side. Some place I can stand a bit and get dressed out of the elements. Later might be a clam tent. Not sure on that yet.

Definitely want to see other teardrop setups to get a feel of what will work for me and what won’t. First time teardrop camper here.

Cary warned me orientation is an all day thing, which is awesome. Can’t wait to meet everyone!

It's definitely easier using a 3rd party to host, as well as having the images show up in the post. I'm not sure if there are any free (or even inexpensive) ones out there anymore though. I've been paying for mine for years because I use it for hosting my landscape and wildlife photography.
