I've been following the messages about the autowbrake brake controller and am curious that I've not read about anyone using the Curt Echo controller. Am I the only one?
I had to decide on a controller when we got our new TV (VW Alltrack) back in May 2019. We had a prodigy P2 controller in the previous TV (VW sportwagen TDI) but that controller of course requires running wires into the cabin which I didn't want to do on the new TV.
I communicated with Cary about the Autowbrake and was intrigued but really didn't want to give up the galley storage space.
So I took a chance on the Echo. After four years and more than 20k towing miles I can report that this controller has been flawless. I was concerned about the physical connection but that's never been a problem.
Yep, it's pricey but the ease of use makes it worth it for me.
Check it out.
Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller, 7-Way, Bluetooth® Smartphone Connection
and here's the etrailer link. Lots cheaper here.
