Cape Lookout State Park (Tillamook)

Mick'nSarah

Junior Ranger
Hi all-

I am starting to get more reviews written from our trips recently. I have posted my most recent one for Cape Lookout here:

HaveKidWillTeardrop

Brief summary, we have stayed at nicer State Parks. I had high hopes for this one, but felt like we were really exposed, the bathrooms always felt dirty, but the beach was gorgeous and it put us close to the Tillamook Chese Factory, which is always good. Overall, would give the site and so-so.

Re: OR - Cape Lookout State Park

Sarah,

I did not know you had a blog. I will have to add it to my reading list.

Re: OR - Cape Lookout State Park

I started it a while back, but didn't have that much up yet. I am feeling like I have made a decent dent, so I can start sharing. Plus, Laddy had a 104 degree fever last night, so we have been hunkering down today (and I had time). I have a couple of blogs going for different things, and I haven't been good about updating this one. I am trying to get better about it.

I found it hard to find info about camping with kids and trailers (seems a lot of it is geared to the retired set), so I have started. If I don't keep after it, get after me! I have a few things I plan to post on still (different activities, things I love to use while camping, etc). Some of it is stuff I have with you all. Others are things I think friends might find interesting. I use some of the posts here that I have written over there too, but I try to keep things helpful for everyone.

Would love to have more readers though...that will keep me inspired!

Hi Sarah - Great work on your blog! I've added it to my reading list as well. I'm sure it's tough to find the time to work on the blogs with your young family. I'm impressed you've found the time to accomplish what you have. I hope Laddy is feeling better tonight. Best wishes to you! - Julie

Kewl site Sarah...
I did sign up, but you know me and kids, please don't feel offended if I drop off.
Always interested in new sites etc.

I want to do the Water Fall site, 10 of them right in walking distance, forget the name, but the famous one on the Columbia River that the PacCrest Trail goes over the bridge...

fun.. nice site..

Frank, I know about you and kids. ;)

I figure people will use what they want, and disregard the rest. No offense taken at all! Just was trying to create one more source out there for folks. Plus, you might like just seeing pics of the sites or different activities and getting some ideas!

Thanks all! You will keep me going!

Re: OR - Cape Lookout State Park

We all know about Uncle Frank and the kids.... :)

Re: OR - Cape Lookout State Park

I think Uncle Frank should should write the activities for kids section on Sarah's blog

Re: OR - Cape Lookout State Park

Ooh, good idea! Especially since he is the "Mentos and cola master"! I can just hear him grumbling right now!

Re: OR - Cape Lookout State Park

Grumble, grumble, little "Growed up" rug rats.. heheh...

Be careful, Uncle Frank has a few more resources other than Pepsi and Mentos...

Dang, Frank!

There is too much cool stuff on that website! I did not need to know about him, but I have a feeling he will be getting some of our money soon. That geyser rocket car looks awesome!
