Camping In Sequoia National Forest

We are planning to spend a week exploring the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks in early August. Since we love hiking with our dog and sadly dogs are not allowed on trails within the National Parks, we would like to camp just outside of the parks proper in the National Forest. Ideally we would like to have electrical hookups and reservations are a must. With all that in mind, anyone have any campground recommendations?

I learned my lesson last year that its never too early to make reservations!
