Here is the recipe for the bread pudding that I made at the CICO. This is for a 10" DO, as well as a sauce pan.

2eggs

2 tablespoons melted butter

2 tablespoons vanilla

2 1/2 cup milk

2 cups sugar

2 cups sourdough bread cut into 1 inch cubes

1/4 cup dried cranberries

1/4 cup golden raisens

1/4 cup chopped pecans

1/4 cup almond slices

beat the eggs add butter ,vanilla and milk . Add sugar and mix til dissolved. Place bread in bottom of 10 inch baking dish. Pour liquid over making sure all of bread is saturated. Sprinkle nuts and rasins over and push them down into bread. Bake at 350 for 50 to 60 minutes. Serves 8 to 10

Whiskey sauce

1/2 cup sugar

1 stick butter

1/2 cup cream

1/4 cup George Dickle

mix ingredients stir constantly till they come to a low boil

pour small amount over while serving

Hope you all enjoy.

Thanks, George. This was soooo good; bread pudding, especially with a touch of booze, is my favorite. Kathy

hmmm... yummmm sounds good, can you make it and leave out the pudding?? the bread part?? heheh...

I heard about this one! Bet it was yummy! I'll bet it would also taste good with the hard sauce I make for my plum pudding. Now you made me hungry for your bread pudding & my plum pudding! Good thing Thanksgiving is coming up, as that's the start of plum pudding season around here... :)

Thanks again for sharing your recipe, George. I finally got around to making it at our MAUCICCO gathering this past weekend. I also added some dried cherries, blueberries, and shredded coconut. I didn't hear any complaints, so I think it ALMOST measured up to yours! It's a keeper, for sure!
