Hi Folks,
Just did a quick trip from Seattle to Napa for a relative's graduation from the Culinary Institute. Stopped along the coast on the way down and got this picture at Humbolt State Park in the California Redwoods. A little washed out at the top - done with the iphone panorama mode.
I know there has been lots of questions about tow vehicles.. I drove from Eureka to Red Bluff on route 36... 3 hours of 35mph turns... some of it on 1.5 lane road... three summits and the Jetta Sport Wagon TDI and the CampInn 550 were a dream... the manual transmission helped for sure. Of course I wish I had my WRX but hey I was camping. Mileage in the mid twenties. Still waiting to see what VW is going to do about the emissons... but its a great ride if they don't give up to much power with the "fix".
