Agua Caliente

Highest recommendations for Agua Caliente County Park in the Anza Borrego Desert about 30 miles south of Julian, CA. Beautiful sites, immaculate grounds that they very clearly take great pride in. 1 adult pool, 1 kids pool and a covered hot pool with natural hot spring water (closed due to COVID unfortunately). Some sites have water and electric. Good hiking (no dogs on the marked trails but plenty of off trail places to let the dog run), clean bathrooms and paid showers. Very friendly staff. Night sky stars are amazing. There is a little camp store just outside the grounds. Zero cell service and Wi Fi, a blessing!

Don’t forget to stop at the world famous Julian Pie Company on the way home! The small town of Julian is a delight as well.
