Good question. The 6" mattress is too high for the teardrop and I've ordered a 5" trifold that has layers and I can remove one if I want it down to 4". My footwell measures at 13" and there is a 1/2" hypervent pad on the floor. By measurements a 4" should fold up and slide into the footwell. By next weekend I should have the new mattress, have it fully fluff up and see how the folding geometry works for easily getting into the footwell or folding to a sofa . I'll report back!Does the geometry of that work to fold it up the other direction (against the cabinetry/towards the footwell?)?
We have a 560 so I am not really looking for the sofa function of a tri fold, but I am interested in getting the mattress semi-folded and out of the way so that we can carry the cargo directly on the floor of the camper and avoid getting dirt and sand onto the mattress.
Your very welcome ! Fun to learn new things.Oh yeah, that looks exactly like what I was hoping to see! Thank you for taking the time to try it out and snap some pictures!
We just put a lightweight hammock tarp over all the bedding before putting stuff on top of it. The tarp is a different color on each side so it is easy to see which is the clean side that goes against the bedding. We find this much easier than having to stow the bedding and mattress every time we travel.Does the geometry of that work to fold it up the other direction (against the cabinetry/towards the footwell?)?

Yep! Good plan!We just put a lightweight hammock tarp over all the bedding before putting stuff on top of it. Yes, this is what we currently do. It works … most of the time. Sometimes we manage to keep the bed clean and then magically dump all the dirt that the tarp collected right onto the mattress while removing the tarp from the mattress! Also, we then have to find a (clean and dry) spot to stash the tarp while we are using the camper. We just put a lightweight hammock tarp over all the bedding before putting stuff on top of it.
