    Portland to Yosemite camping

Hi everyone! I am headed to Yosemite for some camping next month and we thinking of stopping in to see some friends in the Shenandoah Valley. I am not sure if the timing is going to work with their schedules, so I am looking for ideas of campgrounds between here and there that will break up...

Oh man...I needed that giggle today! Evan, you are hilarious and I love the rebuttal from Paige. Totally classic! Back to painting exterior trim....not so funny.

Sun Roof Sunroof Option, Those Who Have It Like It?

I like mine for a couple of reasons: 1) When the bunks are set up and my kid has every stuffed animal that he can't sleep with out, his pillow, his down sleeping bag, and a bag of books up there, we get very little light coming in from the front windows. I know this is a temporary problem...

Itinerary 2014 Nw Camp-inn Round Up

When I say payback, I just mean we are giving you something special in payment for the Whiskey Mick got into. Not that we are trying to get back at you. You can do what you like with it! It is home made (coming out of our secret stash), especially good over ice cream, but excellent sipped. You...

Introduction and a plea for help

Do you have grand kids (or are they possibility in the future)? We have a younger child, and those bunks are sure nice to keep wandering arms and legs at bay in the middle of the night. They always seem to find that one really painful spot and dig in with their toes. That is why we went with...

Joan, we have a little something special for you too. A little "payback" for Mick getting into your whiskey last year! :)

Itinerary 2014 Nw Camp-inn Round Up

I think they actually like us driving on the grass to stomp down all of the mole hills! I have a new puzzle for this year. It isn't as hard as the one last year was, but it will be our contribution for that part of the entertainment. We also have some fun new games. The lad will likely bring...

    Not exactly a Teardrop

They start around $50K+! They are super cool and Mick and I were marveling at them a few weeks ago when it was posted on the TOW Facebook page. They really have thought of nearly everything. I love the rock guard the connects from the trailer to the car. If Camp Inn offered something like that...

    Insurance?

When you talk to them find out what is covered by your car insurance coverage, and what you need as additional coverage. $460/year seems high to me. I pay around $120/year. I am with USAA, but any collision while it is attached to my car is covered by my car insurance. Can't remember what our...

    Battery Room For 2 Batteries?

We like to say you just improved on Mick's original idea. And that you are evil that way! :)

What made you choose a campinn?

Thank you very much! I try to keep the blog fun and helpful for all people (even if you don't have kids you are traveling with). I have the furnace, no a/c. Have only rethought that once, in 104 degree temps in Idaho last summer. I wouldn't trade my furnace for the world. We have an ultra and...

    Battery Room For 2 Batteries?

Do we have 4 then? I have no clue and I always think you have 4 and I thought you added one more than we did. Was it two? Sigh, I am sorry Snugglebug. You will have to ask Mick to pay for my sin since he is the Walbernizer in our house hold.

We will take one too. Let us know who to pay, and we will get it covered! Thanks so much for the offer! That is great!

What made you choose a campinn?

I am sure my story is somewhere on here, but the short of it...my husband had a bilateral hip replacement at 39 and was no longer able to sleep on hard ground (it started before that, but these are the top of the line titanium hips, and he still couldn't, so we knew we were done with thermarests...

    Battery Room For 2 Batteries?

We have 3 parallel batteries, Evan has 4. Depends on which model you have. On the 550s, there isn't enough room for the battery boxes like Mick and Evan built. There was room on the 560s, but I heard something where that might not be the case anymore.

    water jug?

I require a lot of water (for drinking) and I have been toting around a 5 gallon water jug I use to reload my trailer tank. It looks like this, and has a nozzle that stores inside and makes it easy to put down the refill hole...
