    Necedah Trip

Hey ya'll - (that's hey guys for all you Yanks) - It's going to be a miracle for us to head that way again. We LOVE the West and have a May trip planned as of right now, depending on finances. From Texas, straight north we have to drive through so much land that is NOT what we like and...

    Solar: issues to consider?

Matt, Since Hurricane Sandy hit and with Obamanomics headed our way, we're rethinking everything and have decided to go solar. I'm re-reading everything here and will start researching again. Gotta get ready for the Apocalypse! Seriously, living on the Gulf Coast in Hurricane Ally, if we...

    Necedah Trip

We recently made a trip to Necedah while on a trip. Cary was gone, Betsy wasn't there, but we met Marty and OMG! They COULD NOT have been nicer! All the folks there were so wonderful. We had a problem with our TV and it was replaced, plus some other smaller things, but they hopped on it and...

Things to see and do in these states

DebandKyle - we were in DC in April of 2007 and saw the gorgeous cherry bloosoms and Monticello tulips and all the gorgeous blooming flowers - that's why we're coming back in the Spring plus it's going to be our 45th anniversary! We'll do DC and then drive over to Williamsburg to see it again...

Things to see and do in these states

Mike & Carol - hey that's great info. if we ever drive that far up again. We stayed in Maryland and took the Metro into DC from there in 2007. We're not sure just where we're headed, but if we end up driving that far up again we'll be sure and stay at that campground! Thanks! DebandKyle -...

Things to see and do in these states

George - been to Gettysburg and it was great! Deb & Kyle - OOOH that's tempting! We're scheduled to go to Wash. D.C. in April for our 45th anniversary and we want to do Williamsburg again - if those plans go through we'll look you up for sure! (Probably fly in - it's a LONG way from Texas!)...

Things to see and do in these states

Deb&Kyle, Been there, done that and loved it. Would love to see Williamsburg again and take more time. Went to Jamestown twice and there is something spiritual about that place - you can feel the people living there almost. Yorktown was very interesting - we were there on a cold March day...

Things to see and do in these states

I need input from anyone that could help us plan a vacation in early October. Leaving Hot Springs, AR and heading to Paducah, KY to the National Quilt museum, then we're open from there. We want to do a fall foliage trip, circling back to end up at home in Houston. Don't think we can make it...

    Camp Inn Weekend

Cary, Keep sendin' them my way and we'll have Texas Camp-Inn populated too! Took ours out this weekend to my brothers farm - they have a 5th wheel they live in, so it was BYOB (Bring your own Bed!) Stopping for gas we got the requesite lookers and had to show it off of course - even though...

    Condensation question

    Condensation question

Sarah, So does the body heat build up cause the condensation? We haven't had any problems with it, but we don't do cold weather (yet.)

    Solar: issues to consider?

After reading every post about Solar and thinking we really need it in case of emergency, I have come to the same conclusion as the other two ladies (us girls think alike I guess). We're going with recharging from the tow vehicle. What little we'll need it I think this will be the best option...

    500th Camp-Inn Built

WOW! I LOVE the radio set up behind the TV! Really helpful to have that weather radio when you're camping. Being a former full time RV'er we relied on it quite a lot. Can this be put in at the factory on our unit Cary? Is the picture a cover over the AC? Does the AC blow through it?

    FOUND Stolen Camp-inn

We'e fortunate in that we can store both mini van and Raindrop with tongue lock inside the garage. We NEVER leave our van in the drive - it's always pulled inside with the garage door down. The garage door opener is kept safe. Our neighbor, a Houston Police Officer had his wife's car broken...

    FOUND Stolen Camp-inn

Halllelujah! I've been praying it would be found! Ours in safely stowed in our closed garage with two locks on the tongue, but I want to get the claw for the wheel so when we go out I feel more secure. Nothing like being a bit paranoid... Happy for the owners - thanks for updating Cary!
