My panel has MC4 connectors that come from the box on back and I simply plug in the "extension cable" into them each time I connect the panel...essentially what you want to do if I read your post correctly. It works a lot like a simple plastic buckle on a back pack of other strap. The "tongs"...

That's one thing about our Camp-Inn...even if I find myself going a little over the speed limit, it always keeps up! But it's respectful...it hasn't passed me even once.

Sweeney- As I look through the Troubleshooting Guide in the manual, one of the steps leads through the charger and checking the charger fuse. Might be a good thing to put eyes on that fuse if you haven't already.

Ghost- It says "Sorry, but tent-type/canvas RVs or trailers are not allowed." I think they're referring to pop-ups. I sent them to the Camp-Inn website so they could see our rig and they approved us.

Robt- Porta potties are fine by them. I did have to send the a link to the Camp-Inn website because no one with a teardrop had asked to join before. Once they saw the site, and gray water tank they were good to go and approved. Looking forward to our first overnighter with Harvest Hosts!

We recently signed up for Harvest Hosts. The have listings for vineyards, breweries, orchards, farms, etc, where you can stay overnight for free. We have some overnighters scheduled this summer at a maple syrup/sugar farm in Vermont that has been run by the same family for over 200 years...
