    Water Filter

Looked to see if there was a thread on this yet and couldn't find one. This is my second installation - the supplier for my first changed the way their filters all hooked to the water lines and only had the vertical mounts available now. So I switched to this configuration. Basically I only...

    Your favorite Paper Towel holder

I have used a couple over the years including one with a portion of old snow tire chains to keep it from unraveling. This latest one has spring tensioners on each side which keeps it from unraveling (in high winds I expect to have to add a bungle). Amazon.com - Swaitee Paper Towel Holder, One...

Filling Fresh Tank In Camp With 10l Folding Bucket

We do a lot of dry camping and like Steve and Karen we head out with a full fresh tank but carry an extra 6 gallon jug of water as a backup. I also use that same jug to refill at campsites that have water but not at the campsite itself. 6 gallons of water is pretty heavy even if I only put 4...

    Anyone Managing Awards?

Not sure - I haven't heard back from them on my latest submittal. Maybe they are out on a longhaul:)

Not 1, but 2 flat tires...

I know it probably has something to do with mileage, but not too long ago - wheels were 14 and 15 in. I think Goodyear and Firestone had a conversation something like this - "how can we grow our revenues - I know - lets force people to buy bigger tires, OK - you call GM - I'll call Ford lets...

    Middle Us National Parks Trip

Kevin - I agree - Wind Cave is the coolest National Park you never heard of! I love the story of when it was found.... a pioneer rancher heard a whistling sound - finding the source - he leaned down to the hole in the ground and the wind blew his hat off. Next day he returned with a bunch of...

    Middle Us National Parks Trip

Funny the only picture I could find was this one of a walking stick - but I did post one I found on the web too.

    Middle Us National Parks Trip

The parks are such a diverse group of places. Some very focus on human history and events - some on geologic wonders. Its been fun seeing them for sure. Just finished a 3500 mile trip into California to finish off the parks there. Big surprise there was the amount of fire damage. Mt Lassen...

    Middle Us National Parks Trip

Ramble Inn's Second Long Haul The Midwest National Parks. I have been very negligent in submitting for this award as our trip was in 2019 the same year as our first Long Haul to the southwest and Texas. This trip was part of our quest to visit all the National Parks and was targeted at all...

Welcome as well! and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays too... Every time Linda and I hit the road with our CampInn we are so happy we chose that path. All the little details that make a difference - so much in a little package. We define camping as living, cooking and eating outside. So...

First Camp Trip. Dispersed Oregon Nf Camping

Camp Inn, Campsite, Campers , and Campfire - all look like things are perfect - that's awesome in the middle of all this. Is that Mt Bachelor in the background of the lake picture.... I absolutely love the central Oregon mountains and Cascade Lakes Highway.... used to live in Portland - been in...

Just For Fun: What's The Strangest Thing In Your Ci?

Two Cast Iron Fajita Plates with wooden trivets. Not just for Fajita's but they keep any meal warm while sitting at the picnic table. I place them either directly on a burner or just behind them if I am using both. I love food staying hot.

    Venezia Surpasses 100 Nights

Roger, Wow - I know how hard those long hauls are - so many miles, yes with wonderful destinations... but it takes a commitment and dedication to do those long miles in between. Congratulations on an amazing list of destinations... some of our country's best public places. Canyon de Chelley...

    Crater Lake National Park

Beautiful pictures Jenn! Wow - and a great geological history lesson too. I remember that there are spots in Oregon and N. Cal and Nevada where 6 to 7 feet of ash accumulated from that eruption. We have been to the park (on bikes) but RMBL-INN has not - need to remedy that soon.

    Just A Bed

I think with a nice down blanket and either your furnace or the electric heater to take the chill out of the trailer before going to bed - you will be fine. It has to be pretty cold for Linda and I to use the furnace during the night - but we use it before and when we wake up to warm the cabin.

Don't Forget To Lock The Galley!

I agree with Ken and Peggy - mine was closed and the handle in the locked position too - just not locked. I think if it is not locked - road vibration can slowly undo that unless its locked - then the speed causes the opening.
