    Omnia Oven

Got this digital thermometer for our Omnia. So far it’s worked great when Joy made a chicken pot pie to check everything out. Here’s the link: Thermometer for Omnia Stove Top Oven - Thermometer for Omnia Stove Top Oven or other ovens (boat or RV), use with Force 10 oven, barbeque or grills

    2021 Camping Begins

Just back from Bears Ears & Natural Bridges National Monument (NBNM) of SE Utah. Great hikes to petroglyphs, natural bridges, kivas, etc. Lotsa good dispersed campsites, but snagged a great campsite at the NBNM for $7 per night! However, on the way back home near Denver slipped and slided over...

Check Your Lug Nuts (brake/bearing/hub Replacement Thread)

I agree Sweeney, seems like before every trip I'm adjusting the brakes either one click up or down (my woman says I'm just anal, heh-heh.) Finger tight on the bearings after I've tightened them to 30-to-40 foot-pounds with a torque wrench. Here's a vid you may like: Regards, T

Check Your Lug Nuts (brake/bearing/hub Replacement Thread)

Yeah, my right (passenger side) brake was making a funny noise, got a flashlight, looked inside the adjustment hole, and saw hanging springs! Yup, after 10 years Vuggie needed new brake assemblies. New Right brake on left, old one with no brake pads! When I took off the hub, broken springs...

    Interior heaters/furnaces

This January we bought a used 2008 Camp Inn with AC but no furnace. We mostly camp in Colorado above 8000 feet, and have never needed the AC. We bought the 12-volt mattress pad (used under a down comforter) and a 1200-watt Crane Model EE-6490 ceramic heater and were toasty warm at -2-degrees F...

    "Adventures of the Boomer 'Shroomers!"

    1) Nah, Gina, we're amateurs and are most familiar with the local shrooms. If interested, tag along with a local & knowledgable shroomer or even better check out the local mycological society--there's at least one in almost every state and province/territory. Myco-societies are often full of fun...

    "Adventures of the Boomer 'Shroomers!"

MATSUTAKE TIME above 8500-feet!!! It's Joy's favorite 'shroom, and she gets so excited when looking for "humps" in the duff at the base of Ponderosa Pines--White Matsu's (Tricholoma magnivelare, aka Mutsutake) in Colorado are like truffles in that they often do NOT break the ground surface...
