Living in Chicago, Frazier Thomas was an institution. He was on WGN TV every weekday hosting Garfield Goose. And then Sunday duty hosting Family Classics, such as Tobor the Great (that's Robot spelled backward) or Journey to the Center of the Earth with James Mason. Mostly in B&W of course.

Chicago Public Schools used to go to almost the end of June when I was a kid a little over a half century ago, and back right after Labor Day. Things have changed since then, with school ending mid June and returning mid August. I think I'd rather be on the old schedule, to be out of school...

I remember those 45° mornings fondly. We spent a week just outside of Santa Fe back in June of 2011 and slept with the doors open under a down comforter. Heaven.

Sounds great! I spent a couple days with one of my daughters and my 95 year old mom at her place in SW Michigan. Did some grilling, watched some fireworks and enjoyed each other's company. Very nice indeed:)
