Side Tent Camp Inn side tent question

Question for those who use the CI side tent: what do you do when the campsite has a paved or otherwise packed hard gravel surface, so that it's difficult or impossible to get stakes in the ground? It seems like having the floor set up properly is important for getting the sides of the tent taut.

We have a 560 and we only set up the side tent when there is rain in the forecast (so we have a dry vestibule for shoes and coats). We have been using some heavy steel rods to shape the floor when we can't get stakes in (we have them in the front storage to increase our tongue weight when carrying heavy ebikes). But it's not a perfect solution, and it's possible they could rip the fabric if we aren't careful. Any other solutions people have come up with would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have made a frame of out pvc which matches the outline of the floor. I made it so it comes apart and I store the pvc under and along the bed mattress. There used to be and probably still is a post on here with the dimensions.

Thread 'PVC Frame for Side Tent'

This is Skip Eastman's idea. I snapped a few photos while I put mine together. If you have a side tent you may want to do it as well.
The PVC frame will keep the tent floor in place when you can't stake the tent down.

Here's what you need from Home Depot:
2) 10' Lengths of 3/4" PVC
4) 90 Degree fittings
2) Straight couplers
And a small amount of PVC glue

Cut and glue the following lengths:
2) 40.5" PVC with 90 degree fittings glued to each end
2) 35.5" PVC - no fittings
2) 10" PVC -...
