I've driven thru there a few times, overnite car camped a couple and thought "Man, it looks like a LOT of neat places to explore and camp once you go over the hill from Denver and down towards Grand Junction iirc.

Especially with AWD or 4x4 if you like getting sway from the crowds in primitive sites, USFS, BLM lands, etc.
